Human Rights
Human rights are rights that belong to every human being, regardless of sex, gender, religion, culture or age, simply because we are human.
Everyone is entitled to these rights without discrimination. " Human rights are the basic freedoms and protections that belong to every single one of us" |
So what are Human Rights?
Human Rights are based on the idea that all human beings are equal and deserve fair and equal treatment. It is an idea that has taken many centuries to be accepted and there are still some people who do not agree with it.
Individual countries over time have developed a range of laws to protect human rights. These laws vary across the globe, not only in their protection of human rights but also in the extent to which they are observed and enforced.
